RESTAURANTS TO TRY IN Sacramento, California....
Please update if you know of a RESTAURANT in/near Sacramento (within about 30 minutes drive) THANKS.... I am vegetarian and I have found VEGGIE options (vegetarian and sometimes VEGAN) at ALL of these places... I will try to update with PRICES and WHAT I ate at each one. JENN AMARIN THAI... mmmm yum.. BUCA DI BEPPO... not thrilled with this place. Won't go back unless with friend or party. Family style, hard to split if you don't like meat. I got my own personal pizza. It was good but I prefer *gasp* the chain Olive Garden or Strings to them. Pretty much ANY Italian place is better. Even Old Spaghetti Factory and I don't really like their food. (BUT- OSF for parties/large groups- great on that for the all inclusive price) CASO RAMOS mexican restaurant. OH WOW. when I became VEG I thought I would never get to eat TAMALES again!... but there they have delicious SPINACH ones! mmmmmm. and the black beans are great. GREAT PRICES too. BUCKHORN GRILL... mostly meats but you can get a YUMMY portobello mushroom burger with crispy onion strings for less than 10$. You stand in line, order, pay and then get nice seating with your friends... It helps when you don't want to worry how to split/pay for check with friends. CHEESECAKE FACTORY---. well. one of my favorite restaurants of all time and NOT for the cheesecake, although it is almost better than sex.... I *love* the avocado egg rolls, and the *tamale* made with masa and topped with goodies..... mmmm heaven. CREPEVILLE--- mmmmm. *smoked tofu*... I thought I would like a "crepe" but it turns out I don't, but that doesn't stop me from returning to eat the tofu and the fried potatoes! mmmm heaven! the coffees are great too. The crepe/omelet fillings are good, if you want the omelet or crepe around it. I just get side dishes now. smoked tofu and fried potatoes=5$ *heaven* and a *bargain* LUCCA... mmmmmm. yum. polenta! MIKUNIS everytime I go with friends for birthdays or just cause, mmmmmm. I think I get the *farmer joe* veg roll. pricey place but I love all their appetizers, their miso is fantastic. Although I really don't like their agadashi tofu. toooooo fried. PLUM BLOSSOM: yum!!!!!!
