Steakhouses I have Known and (mostly) Loved

A great steakhouse can be a destination in its own right .... a supremely great steakhouse can make even the worst trip seem worthwhile in balance... Not much to do but through the carcass on the grill a non-steak lover might say... but then there must be more because only a few raise to greatness.... this is a list of some of my favourites and a few that will not see me again ... although your mileage may vary on the later ... establishments that I can't see anyone appreciating .... yes there are places that bad that still stay in business somehow...don't even make the cut to get on this list....

Steakhouses

David,

If you love a truly great steakhouse, you need to try The Cattle Barren. It is fabulous, by far the best steak house I’ve eaten at. I went to the one in Cape Town in South Africa but from my understanding it originated in Texas so if you ever go to Texas – try it out! :)
