Edgar Allan Poe Sites in the United States


  1. Poe has 2 graves at Westminster Hall and Burying Ground, the larger memorial is from the late 1800s. The smaller marker is from just a few years after he died. He was moved from the back to the front corner to a larger memorial over 100 years ago.

  6. The Poe Toaster would show up at Poe’s grave on his birthday and toast him with cognac and then leave roses. The tradition has ended when the toaster died in 2010. His son was carrying on the tradition but stopped when his father died.
