Europe's 50 Greatest Cities

Fifty great cities in Europe, evaluated according to a points system. The points system is as follows: a city will b acorded up from one to ten points in each of the following categories: 1. Architecture 2. Historical importance 3. Shopping 4. Food and drink 5. Population size 6. Cultural facilities (museums, art, libraries etc.) According to this system London gains the maximum in all categories: 60 points (10 points for architecure with major buildings by important architects + 10 points for major historical importance(seat of Empire, Blitz) + 10 points for shopping + 10 points for cuisine (huge range available) + 10 points (8 million people) + 10 points (art galleries, muesums, concerts etc). Only Paris also has 60 points. Discussion points/ Opinions welcomed.

Yeah, I think this list is much better, and it has some surprises for me at the end which I’ll have to check out.

Why didn’t you tell about this in the other city discussion?

However, I personally wouldn’t consider Berlin/Maryland a European city… And you might want to change some duplicate places which are more established under their original names, like Venezia, Warszawa, Kraków, Praha and München (though I already reported them so that they gonna be merged anyway).

I don't know...

Just my opinion.

I think 1 2 3 should be:

1 Rome

2 Paris

3 London

I’ve been to 12 of them on the list!!!

Rome does well on the first two criteria on the list, but much less well on the last four.
