America or USA?
Can we add National Parks elsewhere in America, example those in Canada or many also in Central/South America?
Or should we change the title to “National Parks of the USA”?
God Bless America (all of it)!
National Parks managed by the National Park Service. Does not include other park service units such as National Monuments, National Lakeshores, or National Historic Preserves. [http://www.nps.gov/applications/parksearch/atoz.cfm]

Not all Eskimos, (they are also Americans) are Inuits, or is it the other way around?
Around the world we try specify, so there are (people, products or places) called:
US American
New York American (special class)
Texan or Mexican (or Tex-Mexican?)
Canadian American (simply Canadians)
South American (Brazilians etc.)
Hispanic American (generally)
African American (generally)
Alaskan, Inuit
Red Indian? No, Native American
ALL these and many more are “American”!
I love travelling regularly to the States and like the US Americans very much (I am related to some too) but others do not understand their arrogance which starts exactly with ignorance to other americans on both continents and groups within the USA! No wonder that “people from the states” are disliked world-wide? If they could only TRY to recognise the rest of the world too, they would then be respected more too when they travel. I have visited 14 countries in the Americas and the people I met consider themselves also American, except the Canadians, is some of it still a department of France?
See also http://www.43places.com/gallery/view/750298 for three funny cartoons on this topic.
NB also: That poor village in Europe lives with the name “America” too and they too are “Americans”, in the province of Limburg in the Netherlands, interesting, they would NEVER pronounce themselves “Hollanders” neither “Dutch”, they seem also to get hammered with US stuff! ;-)
If the name of this list is not changed to “National Parks in the USA” I will start a new list “All of Americas National Parks”, otherwise may I extend this list and we keep the name? That because I love America, all of it.
Please respond…

“United States of” added to list title. Maybe I’m in the minority of Americans but when in an international setting I understand to make the distinction. If others don’t like it they can change it back. Still, I’d love to see a list of national parks of all the Americas, or even just North America or South America. (More goals for travelling!)

According to the title, these are National Parks of the U.S. National Park Service. There are two national parks that are managed by the park service that are not in any of the 50 states, but are part of the United States. They are Virgin Islands National Park and National Park of American Samoa. Any complete list of U.S. national parks should include these.

There should be a list that includes the NM’s
My wife and I went on a 3 month trip and saw 28 NP/NMs all in the southwest, following the Grand Circle. We loved every minute and mile of it.
