The first of several sets of stairs, switchbacking up a mossy cliff to the trailhead area for both the Asahel Curtis Trail and the Annette Lake Trail. Near Snoqualmie Pass. Just behind me as I took this photo was I-90, with traffic rushing by at 80 mph.
