Trans Woman Noelle Walker
Spray paint, marker, pencil, chalk on cardboard

It has been said that a transexual’s story is written on their body. Artist Noelle Walker’s work is concerned with that idea
the juxtaposition of body and the word, construction and self-construction, text and subtext. It refocuses W.E.B. DuBois’ concept of “twoness” on transgenderism. Her pieces are in spray paint, other times drawn in marker that will sometimes eat through other parts of the work. The media used is often permanent, bold, and solid.
