Worth visiting!

Stange encounters in the Kerepesi Cemetery

The Kerepesi Cemetery is vast (it goes on for miles and miles), splendid (many graves have symbolist statues on them) and part of it is abandonned (well, at least when I was there, around 1998).

Some parts have returned to their natural state, so it’s like walking through a dense forest, only sometimes you find human bones on the ground, or tombstones, etc.

In the Kerepesi Cemerery, I also encountered a wild feasant, the corpse of a goat, a horse, and a few cats.

The Kerepesi cemetary sounds like the dream destination for me because one of my hobbies is to take pictures, but more precisely of cemetaries and graves, and I told myself I would visit every interesting cemetery in the world, that one is next on my list!

I’d really like to see what that place has become.

On Google Maps, it looks like it has been cleaned up a little
