Coba is unbelievable and continues to fascinate me for many reasons. The first reason being that 95% is still buried underneath the jungle! I always wonder what other treasures are out there, still waiting to be discovered. Located deep in the jungle, it’s not one of the most accessible ruins in the Yucatan Peninsula, but it’s certainly worth taking the time to visit. I loved wandering around the area. The ruins are full of cool stone etchings and I particularly liked the ancient ball court. Plus, the view at the top of the pyramids extends out across the entire Peninsula.
