The Daibutsu was definately worth seeing. You’ve got to struggle to get a good photo considering there’s so many people around it. You can go inside for about 10 yen.

...but if you want to see a Daibutsu around Tokyo, the one in Nokogiriyama is actually bigger and more impressive. But that’s not to say the one in Kamakura is not worth it.
