Worth visiting!

A review of this place: i spend half my life here

and really love it, except for the (relatively new) bronze statue of George Bush the Elder. Continental has 3 terminals, which can make for some serious hauling ass if you have a short layover, but the food options are unbeatable. I have to wonder, based on some of the entries here, if its bad rating is based solely on anti-Texas prejudice. (hint: if you want to hate something/somebody in advance, it’s pretty easy to do)

I think a lot of the negative ratings have to do with anti-Texas sentiment as well as anti-Bush sentiment.

But then again, an airport is an airport… It’s hard to have a good impression of them since you’re kind of trapped in once you go through security.

Statue

I found the statue kind of amusing, because it’s precisely not the image conjured when I hear George Herbert Walker Bush.

The Blue Bell ice cream and good fajitas make me pine for living here again.

yeah

it’s downright jaunty! The actual statue pisses me off much less than the idea of casting Bush the Elder in bronze in the first place.
