Worth visiting!

Nice Date Place

Visited the famed Bonaventure Hotel last night for the first time as a date. Being the 4th of July, the rotating restaurant/lounge at on the top floor was the perfect vantage point to see fireworks exploding all across the city. The lounge itself feels fairly dated, playing top 40 hits circa 1989-93, although between the eyesore carpeting and light up martini glasses, they might be better of redecorating to the early 80’s and throwing some Nagel prints on the walls.

Still, the fantastic views of the city from this height do make it a rather pleasant place for a date. I wouldn’t stay at the hotel but the lounge gets a thumbs up.

We almost did this last weekend

I couldn’t remember where I’d gotten the idea to come here to view fireworks on July 4th, until I just stumbled upon your entry again! We aborted our plans, though, in order to stay home and attempt to comfort our poor dogs, who suffer so from the hours and hours of booms they have to endure on holidays. Anyway, I’ve tucked the idea away (which thank you for) for some future Independence Day.
