Worth visiting!

News: Menopause: The Musical  — 2 years ago

I took my girlfriend Kathy to see Menopause: The Musical at the Hilton for her birthday yesterday. It was hilarious! I’d highly recommend it to anyone who is age 40+. Now we are both interested in seeing more shows.

Has anyone been to Tony and Tina’s Wedding or Mama Mia? Can you recommend either or other shows, especially ones with locals pricing or 2fers? We saw the Blue Man Group on New Year’s Eve 2005 while they still performed at the Luxor. Has anyone seen their new act? Other recommendations?

Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band

Last night I went to see Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band at Mandalay Beach. It was a great show. It’s by the pool at Mandalay Bay. You actually bring towels and sit on the beach. Pretty cool!

I saw Mama Mia. I loved the way they use abba tunes to make a logical story.

I’m partial to second city improv, because I worked with them for a while. But their show’s pretty good. They’re at the flamingo.

Yes, Mostly in Kuantan

From 1973 to 1975. I spent a little time in Penang, Seremban and Kota Baru, too, with several visits to Kuala Lumpur and Genting Highlands. It has changed a lot since then, of course. My last visit was in the early 1990s to Langkawi. Malaysia is blessed with natural resources, but it’s been a struggle to move from a kampung mentality to a leading role in Southeast Asia. Thanks for the info on the wedding. We’ll be sure to bring our “A” game when we go!
