Not worth visiting!

Ramshackle, run down...not pretty.

Sorry if I offend anyone living in Hastings. Maybe I didn’t see the right bit. Went to the beach front and most of the shops were closed and dilapidated, although the beach was nice (and I think sandy from memory (unlike Brighton down the road), the town itself looked a dive.

Did you visit the Old Town. Pretty cobbled streets with narrow passageways, centuries old houses and unique little shops. Yes, I agree the main town is dull and rundown, but you should have dug deeper. Climb to the top of the East or West Hill and look down onto the fishing boats. Then you would start to see the hidden treasures of this town.
