Not worth visiting!
I was really disappointed with the entire place. I love to travel and this was one of the few places that I’ve been that I never want to go back to. It’s similar to Tijuana in that it’s touristy and filthy. If driving in from San Diego, keep driving down to Ensenada, you’ll be grateful.

I always kinda liked Rosarito, but I never had terribly high expectations for it – just a fun sort of low-key place to spend a weekend. I liked the rooms in the funky old part of the Rosarito Beach Hotel.

I didn’t stayed at the Rosarito Beach Hotel. Maybe that’s a necessity in making it a better place to stay.
My brother has gone camping nearby many times and he simply loves it. The city itself though, I just didn’t like. I know it’s Mexico and poverty is everywhere, but I was especially saddened by the emaciated horses on the beach.
