just outside here in a holiday chalet in Hemsby, when my dad decided it would be cheaper, another one of his money making schemes until the manager kicked us out in the winter when the park was closed, and we had to go live in a ford escort for a bit.

I also live in Great Yarmouth in a car in the 1970’s. We had always gone to Caister caravan site as a family on holiday ever since I was a small child so when I left home I persuaded an older friend of mine who had a Ford Cortina to move to Great Yarmouth. We got work at the funfair but only lasted a few weeks as we couldn’t find anywhere to live, and two of us sleeping in a car didn’t work out so we returned to the midlands.
