Worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

One more pic here. I love the old old stone walls and bridges in this area. Some of the stone circles date back to the Stone Age, and there are remnants of the tin mining that used to happen everywhere. The history of this area is so remarkable, and I feel the place is so unchanged, as if somehow I’m seeing it as it would have been many hundreds of years ago. I remember my Dad telling me that when he didn’t get into medical school he went walking here to clear his head. I’ve done the same thing when I’m feeling shitty and it never fails to help me to see past the inconsequential and see the quiet beauty I sometimes fail to notice. xxx

This Place

is a place of Serenity.
I would spend the day there today if I had the chance..
To just think and feel the beauty of nature and let it soothe my soul and heal my spirit..

What a beautiful place..
I wish I were there now.

That's so true..

..I do feel so close to nature when I am there. I take off my boots and just listen to the sounds of water, birds, wind through the rocks, often the sound of rain (it is England after all! Dartmoor so often has harsh weather, this just adds to the wildness).

And it’s interesting what you say about healing. I feel that being in nature, feeling part of it and feeling that you have a valuable place in it, does have power to heal and that’s why I can’t be in London too long without coming to the Westcountry. There’s not as much chance of feeling the beauty of nature in Camden!

I’m posting this pic for you. This is actually a photo my brother took in Exmoor, it’s just as lovely. xxx

This made me cry...

See I miss places like that.. At home I had a place that looked just like this that when things got to be hard I just went there and looked and listened..
to be healed..
I did video tape, all my places. {still in storage}.

Here where I live now.. There are no woods or streams or secret places beneath trees. I try to go to the Ocean as often as I can.
That is my only saving grace.
