News: BOKA Kitchen + Bar opens at First and Madison  — 2 years ago

BOKA Kitchen + Bar is a new lounge that opened yesterday in Madison Tower. Madison Tower is a luxury high rise condominium/hotel tower located at First and Madison—the hotel is called Hotel 1000. BOKA stands for “Boldly Original Kitchen Artistry” and claims to serve “urban American food.” The chef worked at Spago’s in LA and Bada Lounge here. It sounds a little dorky but bars are a bit sparse downtown so I’d check it out.

I thought I'd missed something

I drove by last night and wondered why I had never seen it before. I thought Iwas just missing something. I like that it’s close to my boot camp class, when a bar is absolutely necessary.

The worst of it is that it is an acronym.. “Bold Original Kitchen Artistry”.

The chef is a super nice guy though. Used to run “Les Cadeaux Gourmets”, a culinary gourmet gift shop up on queen anne. The store is closed, but their website is still active.

I bet it’ll be tasty food and drinks, awkward crowd.
