Butte

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

I was an Arizona native. My husband moved to AZ years ago for school. We met and he brought me to Butte (his native land) to meet the family and saw Butte. I WAS HOOKED! I had always said when I grew up I would move to Colorado, but that all changed June 1995. I just had to come to Butte! What do you know, we did in March of 2004! The people are real, gritty…but REAL! The place can seem ugly at times, but the rich history and substantially dark stories are so beautiful! You just can’t get enough. I like Butte because in this town they don’t hide their past, they flaunt it. They are proud of the rough around the edges rep they have and don’t cover it with fluff and stuff the neighboring cities do.
The other best thing about Butte is how generous the people are. It really is a poor community and yet when there is a need it is FILLED! If you ever want the fast paced world to slow down a bit and maybe step back to a time when hardware stores and mechanic shops were closed on Sundays and a kid could ride his bike down the street or mom and pop sit out on the front porch chattin’ with the neighbors…well here it is in BUTTE, AMERICA!
