Thrown Out of a TJ Whorehouse by kelindamarie

Worth Visiting … Once. Though I’ve heard there are some lovely parts of TJ, that’s not what most people see there.

The first time I went I was with my crew team from college. We had just lost our race at the San Diego Crew Classic, and decided to head south of the border for a little heavy drinking. We wanted a nice quiet bar to chill in – not one of the ones on the main strip where they force watered down margaritas down your throat.

We found a spot that looked pretty good, the bouncer pulled aside the red velvet curtain to let us in (which should have been our first clue). Pulled up to the bar and ordered some drinks and notice there were women in bikinis out on this lonely dance floor in the back. One of my guys noticed that guys kept coming in and taking girls to the back. On closer inspection most of these “girls” were boys. We eventually got tossed out for taking pictures.

Luckily we found a great little bar – I can’t remember what it was called or where but there was a large paining of Popeye and Olive Oil in a very compromising position.

The next trip I took was far more relaxed and sedate … a little furniture shopping, a few tacos and then home.
