Actually what I meant was.. what else is there in life? Great beer, chocolate and food is reason enough for me to visit just about anywhere. Of course, I will enjoy the other beautiful things about Belgium as well. I look forward to visiting Belgium. It is the top of my list of places to go.

Belgium is my favorite European country, for all the reasons that both of you have mentioned, plus one other: the people, who are friendly, well-educated, bi- and tri-lingual.
The fact that Belgium is (relatively speaking) kind of off the tourist radar screen makes it that much more appealing.
