Worth visiting!

A review of this place

There are several easy hikes down to the lake.

There are? When my wife and I visited we were told the hike down to the lake was treacherous because the grade was so steep.

Cleetwood Cove

I’m thinking of the Cleetwood Cove hike (which is the only way to get to the lake – sorry about the “several”). While it is steep and inaccessible outside of the summer, the trail is relatively short:

Cleetwood Cove Trail: 1.5 hours, 2.2 miles roundtrip, a “strenuous” hike with and 11% grade (6,850 to 6,176 feet). Parking area is 4.5 miles east of North Junction. Trail is acceess to lake shore and boat ramp.

Cool I’ll have to check that out next time we visit Crater Lake.

Thanks!
