I think you would have to totally cover up before you step off the plane.

I was just getting to write an entry about Iran, my No.1. destination at the moment, when I found your comment… I think exactly the same thing. I love Islamic architecture and when I was in Kuala Lumpur, I visited the Museum of Islamic Arts and they had modells of the most beutiful mosques on the world. More than half of them were from Iran. I also have some Iranian classmates, they are very nice, friendly people.
So I wanna go there, I should go there before the U.S. gets there first, and we saw what happened to Iraq. :(((
I am not really concerned about scarves and covers, I think if you go to a culturally different place it’s the least you can do that your respect local customs. In exchange for the great experience, I guess. Also, I have been to Bangladesh and India and found myself automatically covering up, it was just convenient, because of weather conditions or personal safety. I don’t consider the thing the ‘evil symbol of women’s enslavement.’

Hijab or scarves is not so necessary. I mean we dont care about foreiners hijab. As I live in Tehran & I am a muslim, I know what is important. The only thing you should do is not piutting skirt and you should put a scarf on your head. But if you come here u will see that Iranians hijab r not that strict. I n addition, remember that Iranians r famous for their hospitallity so dont worry!

You know! Be totally cover up before you step off the plane BUT you are almost free when comes out of airport and when you are in the city, People are wonderful , Just when you step off the plane in airport they may tell you to wear your scarves, GO AND FIND A BEAUTIFUL ONE and come to our country …
