Be prepared to spend top dollar to enjoy a good selection of dim sum in an upscale setting near the Embarcadero and the Ferry Plaza. Located in a large, modern complex that also houses the Rincon Center post office, Yank Sing is as handsome as Chinese restaurants get and far removed from the down-and-dirty bustle of San Francisco’s famed Chinatown. But its dim sum feels authentic, the variety is impressive, and it’s all delicious. You can get cheaper dim sum, but you won’t find much better in equally nice surroundings.
