A tip I have about this place
At noon every day a canon is fired. It’s called the noon gun and whenever it goes off all sorts of motion-sensitive alarms go off as well.

I love being downtown in the summer when the cannon is fired. All the unexpecting tourists shriek and get flustered :)

Even though I’ve heard the cannon hundreds of times I’ll still jump a bit when I walking around downtown. I feel a bit flustered myself and think, “people are going to think I’m a tourist!” But it is a cannon being fired downtown in a city!
