Second favourite country I have been too (Egypt is Number 1 on my list) – but Rome is my Number 1 favourite city. With Rome I just loved the history of the place, the culture and amazing places to visit…including the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona and the Roman Forum.
Travelling around the countryside and cities in Italy was fantasic.
Other places in Italy I loved included visiting a winery in Tuscany, Florence (the Ufizi Gallery was amazing), Pisa, Venice (St Marks Square was flooded and we had to walk on planks which was fun…and I got to have a gondola rida), Assissi (the Church of St Francis is beautiful), Sorrento, the ruins at Pompeii and going on a boat ride on Lake Como (picture attached).
