A review of this place: The PERFECT Get-A-Way
%{color:green}The fact that JFK, Jr. got married on this island has nothing to do with why I love it here. The scenery is to die for; a lot of history to this island. You can see the ruins of the old Carnegie house that burnt in the 1950’s, there’s people from WWII buried there, lots of old stuff to see. There’s old architecture on the beach, wild horses running about. The last time I camping there we saw a baby colt that had just been born. It was sticky, yucky and all wobble so it must have been born within an hour of us seeing it. And it is literally an island that you have to take a ferry to get to. It’s just a serene get-a-way from the busy city life. %
