Downtown Houston isn’t really all that entertaining. It is mostly just a bunch of tall office buildings and nothing else. You can go to the Hyatt and up to the Spindle Top for food while spinning around. There are some restaurants, though most of them aren’t that great. The Vietnamese area of town is worth seeing and if the Angelika’s still open you can find indie movies there. Lots of areas of town are pretty empty at night so it can get creepy.
