I read this fantastic article on a plane somewhere about a family that traveled here. It’s supposed to be the end of the earth. The pictures were stunning and it’s topped my list of places since.

And by good choice I mean a ridiculously good choice. Did you know that people actually live on Tierra del Fuego? They had crafted these insanely awesome canoes and longboats, and basically tried to migrate there. There’s some pseudo-anthropological speculation that if these people hadn’t migrated there in their initial exploration, then they could have set sail around the world long before Europeans ever did. And yes, also it’s gorgeous.
