This would have to be one of the most underrated parts of Australia, and yet tonnes of people holiday there from Sydney etc.

i can think of two really nice national parks I have been to there: Bouddi National Park (near gosford), and Myall Lakes National Park (north of newcastle) but there are tonnes more.
