Worth visiting!
I spent a romantic 3D/2N holiday here in Banyan Tree Bintan, and it was fantastic. Service was the best I’ve ever seen in any resort EVER, and the food, views, lodging were all perfect. I’d definitely recommend this place for a quick, quiet, romantic getaway for anyone in SEA.

Ha. Yes, I’m Singaporean, and I know it is – but Banyan Tree resorts definitely separate it from what much of Singapore might be known for: bad service. ;p
It’s perfect for a quick getaway, but if you’re Singaporean, don’t expect to feel like you’re somewhere exotic, I guess. :)

Oh really? Bad service, aiya, you know how singaporeans love to complain about everything including bad service ;)
Oh I haven’t been back to Bintan for years, don’t know how is it like now? No chance to go back there because it’s a place needs to go with someone whom you can play romance, romance ;)

What girl with a turquoise coloured top? No, I don’t think so. Especially since I don’t have any pictures of myself online.
And I’m not a Singaporean who just complains for the sake of it. I’m a person who believes in paying for service, and hence in expecting good service when I’ve already paid for it – or at least when I’m in an establishment that SHOULD have good service.
Anyway, you should try to check Bintan out soon I guess – before this resort in particular gets any older. Can’t really say the same for the rest of the resorts on the island that I’ve been to, except maybe Angsana, since it’s run by the same group.
