Worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

Oriental’s a good place for the outdoor enthusiast—bicycling, kayaking, canoeing, sailing. Lots of water and nice creeks to explore.

My favorite restaurants are M&M’s-they have some vegetarian dishes on the menu and imaginative food prepartions-try the corn/crab chowder if it’s on the menu!—their bar is a good place to meet people. Village Restaurant has a great all-you-can-eat lunch buffet for $7.50…when we were there, it incuded barbecue chicken and meatloaf and mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes, collards, green beans, rolls, peach cobbler. Very yummy!

There’s a little playhouse that brings in some good entertainment—Leon Redbone was there recently, they also have plays.

If you need the bright lights/big city, you’ll not find it here—but great for a relaxing, low-key, outdoor weekend or day.

Grew Up

I live in Pamlico County, which is where Oriental is located. I work at M&M’s there. I would have to agree that the Crab Corn Chowedar is a must to try. They have the best food hands down! Oriental is just a little cute community of people that just want to relax. A very nice Place!
