It just has this strong sense of being at home, and everything being alright with the world, which is important to me. I haven’t read LOTR, but liked the movies enough, it just seems like the place for me.

The Shire is based on the countryside and villages found in England, so you might as well just come here! There’s no hobbits or dragons or whatever – as far as I know anyway – but it’s still a great place.

but that was back in 1989 when I was a wee hobbit, so it’s high time I came back. In fact I will, some times next year on my way home from my masters in new york.
BUt in a way it was more the shire of the soul that i want to go to. that feeling of home. hmm, i’m missing home a little after 2 months here too.
