I am going for 10 days in October with my 2 best friends. One of their mothers is from Peru and this year is their anniversary, so we are going to celebrate with them and her entire family in Iquitos. We’ll stay a day or two in Lima, then take a 2 hr plane ride to Cusco to hike Machu Pichu, and then a 4 hr train ride to Iquitos. We plan on mountain biking, white water rafting, hiking, and hopefully be a part of a festival. We will be there Oct 12th-21st. If you live there or have visited before any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Or if you know of any festivals we should try to make please let me know.
