I enjoyed Puerto Madryn.
There isn’t so much here, but there are loads of excursions you can take especially to Peninsula Valdes. You can you go to see the sea elephants (the only mainland colony in the world) and sea lions. You can see the whales as well from March in Punta Norte.

There are some nice restaurants that are reasonably priced.

The casino was good but had some funny rules. Play in pesos. change your money in the casino and you can change it back after if you need.
