A lot of the fish died, but they had people working hard to take care of the fish and animals in the aftermath of Katrina. The penguins and otters stayed for awhile at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California, and the white alligators all made it through the storm fine. The Aquarium reopened a few months ago, and though I haven’t been since then, I’ve heard it’s just as good as it was before.
