As an All-American “mixed breed” I count Germany (and in particular, suspect it is the Black Forest area) as one of my ancestral homes…even if it is not, I have always had a soft spot for what I have read, learned and seen of it and hope to travel there some day.

I am applying for a doctoral internship at several universities, Pitt being one. At least I think I am applying. I will know tomorrow after meeting with my dissertation chair and the internship director at my school.
It would start next fall. I hear Pittsburgh is a really great city – when I was young it had a smoky (literally) reputation, but I hear it is the place to be, in PA, these days!
