Titusville is not an amazing place, and it is not a place that is on many people’s to do list. What is nice about it is that it is 45 minutes from Orlando, 40 minutes from Daytona Beach, 30 minutes from Cocoa Beach, 45 minutes from Melbourne, and within 4 hours of Miami, Jacksonville, and Tampa/St. Pete. So, if you want to visit a lot of Florida, it is a good ‘spring board.’ Places to check out while in town are Sunrise Bakery as well as Cafe Chocolat, both downtown. If you are interesting in viewing a Shuttle or satellite launch, be sure to be early, and make sure you don’t mind staying a few days because of frequent launch reschedules. It has no night life, and you must have a car to natigate, as is true with all of Florida. Check out Canaveral National Seashore just north of town for a great look at wildlife and an undeveloped beach, an experience that makes you question the viability and morality of coastal development. The longer I am away, the more the Space Coast seems so amazing and unique, I hope you feel the same when you go.
