Worth visiting!

Amazing culture

Japan is one of the most amazing countires on earth because of their culture and respect for one another. A place that runs according to an unwritten understanding of “mine is mine and yours is yours”. Definately worth the visit, might wanna brush up on your Japanese.

Japan

My friends and I are making a brief five day stop off in Japan after two weeks in Thailand. You’ve been to both places and I thought that perhaps you could help me plan a trip… What is absolutley essential to see? Is the Full Moon party wild and fun enough to attend even though its a bit out of the way? Is Phuket worth the journey? Where should we go in Northern Thailand, we want someplace with loads of culture and authenticity. What is an absolute must in Japan, is there anyplace in Tokoyo to go clubbing on a budget? and with limited clothing options… Thanks ~K

Mmmmm...

The full moon party is absolutely fabulous, but unfortunately out of the way as u mentioned. It is not essential that u go to it, but if u can… do!

As for Northern Thailand, unfortunately I only experienced Bangkok and therefor cannot give u advice on where to go.

Japan and clubs. If memory serves me correctly then Tuesday is the day to go clubbing. Finding the clubs is another problem on it’s own. In Tokyo there is a district called Rapongi Junction where u will find a bunch of bars, restaurants and if u search well enough, a club or two. Beware though, lot’s of Nigerians and Americans there trying to get u into strip clubs where they steal your money. If u don’t know him don’t talk to him.

If you let me know where you are going in Japan I will try to find out where good clubs are since I have a couple of Japanese friends.

regarding the clothing question… As far as I could tell the Japanese don’t really mind what you wear. A pair of jeans and a shirt worked for my brother and I mostly wore cargo pants and golf shirts.

If you have any questions remaining feel free to ask.

Forgot something

If you want to know what to see…

I spent a week in Kyoto and can confidently say that it is an amazing place. Shrines and temples are amazing, not to mention the old palace. Night life is not too bad either, all be it bars and pubs. Takes about 2hours on bullet train from Tokyo.
