I’m sorry I can’t quite help you – I don’t know where the Monsters of Rock will be held. If it’s in the “Festivalen Complex”, then you can get any hotel in the center and just walk there. I never stay in hotels when I go back home.

If you have time, go by the beach at night – you can just walk around the strip, sit in a pub, go to a club or just look at the crowd.
