Not exactly two words that go together. I’m not sure which museum you went to but it must not be the Louvre I am thinking of. I have traveled extensively throughout the world and to many famous museums but the collection at the Louvre can really only be rivaled by the collection at The British Museum. From Winged Victory of Samothrace towering above you as you ascend the grand staircase to Delacroix’s Liberty Guiding the People not much is underwhelming. And while everyone is staring at the tiny Mona Lisa, take a look to your left and view the astounding and awe-inspiring “Wedding Feast at Cana” by Veronese which covers the whole wall.
