My opinion would certainly be viewed as biased. I’m not from Tanzania, but born and raised in South Africa.
It really is as wonderful as people tend to describe it. Not that we are without our own difficulties…
We have some of the most stunning scenery you’ll ever lay your eyes on. Do you want to see the Tsitsikamma Forest? Karoo Desert? Various mountain ranges? National Parks? Wildlife? City bustle? Cultures? A wide variety to be found in a small area of the continent.
I myself have quite a few places within South Africa I still want to visit!!!
Listing all the points that interest me is probably not going to convince you, but I would urge you to do some research and see what South Africa, and even the rest of Africa, has to offer… People often have very set ideas that often tend to be wrong. Go on… surprise me ;)

Why
Both the fact that just about every country in Africa has some form of travel warning for American tourists in tha last year, for various reasons, mainly due to it is just unsafe, unstable, and I think I’d rather spend my money visiting New Zealand, Austrailia, or Hawaii.
No one has yet to convince me otherwise, but vivace has come close and South Africa does still seem appealing, and I am not knocking Africa. Maybe I’ll change my goal to South Africa, vivace can show me around…....
I know there are probably safe areas, but list take a look..

If your only reason not to travel is the “travel advisory” then you are relying on the wrong sources. Travel advisories have political implications and not necessarily reflect the security situation.Dont go to Iraq or Somalia. But all the countries you list above (except for Cote d’Ivoire and Eritrea) are fairly safe. Check out what airlines fly there and ask them.

Why
“Fairly safe” I’ll trust a warning over an airline that wants me to pay a fare.
In any event, I am not trying to bash Africa, I want someone to convince me that I would enjoy myself and not feel threatened or not-safe. I’ve had one person try to convince me and she has about South Africa.
Some one tell me about Tanzania that was whee I wanted to go, but now looks like South Africa. Which is good…
But lets take a look all of these places are on numerious lists of placed that are unsafe (at this time) and while I would love to see the world, tell that these places are safe? Or tell me why they made this list of worlds most unsafe places. (with others)
