Tasty Steaks
I followed up on the Ray’s Bistro Dinner, the $20 steak and soup deal. We arrived at five after six – and already had to wait for another 45 minutes, so we walked to Olsson’s. When we got back (with a newly purchased umbrella), we were seated in the back near the kitchen. I got a good view of the grill, with impressive hunks of beef sitting on top. Our meal was good stuff – the crab bisque was as good as I’ve ever had, and the hanger steak was quite tasty, if considerably smaller than the ‘Cowboy.’ For dessert, we ordered Key Lime Pie, and were given complementary espresso-cups of very good hot cocoa – appropriate for the storm outside. Also, although they don’t take reservations on the phone, you can show up in person to request them a few days in advance.
