It was a wild trip. The pyramids are right near the city, but they don’t usually show the city in the pictures. It’s quite a contrast. If I spent a little more time there, I could have gotten invited to a wedding – that sounds like a good way to go. A nice Egyptian tried to take me under his wing and show me around, but – yikes – the poverty. One fun thing I did was to rent a horse and ride through the desert with a guide. But be prepared for a crazy mix of experiences.
