Worth visiting!
such a great place.
i wish i spent more time there. the fact that it was a beautiful day helped.
would love to go again.

how expensive it was, but i don’t think it was too bad. and we didn’t have trouble with parking.
i was in LA for a wedding, and we just stopped by there for a few hours. honestly, i had very low expectations (which probably helped). wasn’t in the mood to go to a museum, but our friend who grew up there suggested we check it out.
i had no idea what it was going to be like, so i was really pleasantly surprised by the kind of place it was. i got engrossed in a photography exhibit from the civil rights era. didn’t even make it to another photography exhibit that i heard was also terrific.
we walked through the gardens and hung out on the lawn, just relaxing. i really could have spent all day there – maybe all weekend. next time i make it to LA, i’m definitely going back.
why don’t you make “one day” today or tomorrow? no time like the present. :)

the main art was the space. the photo exhibit was great, but it was really the place as a whole that i enjoyed.
i’m sure you can find criticisms with anything. i’m not an art buff – i mainly go by how something makes me feel. i remember reading afterwards that the shuttle ride up to the museum was designed to make you feel like you were rising out of LA to another place entirely (or something like that). i think it kinda worked.
i’m sure the people i was with and the weather and the general atmoshphere helped with my enjoyment. but i think i would have appreciated it regardless.
so yo, take off the gogglz and juzt enjoy yo!
