Worth visiting!

Beautiful school!

I was here in 94, visiting my cousin who went to this great school, Stanford University! The surrounding of this school is so beautiful, loved the architectural buildings and murals on the walls which felt a bit like in Rome :).. Highly recommend anyone who’s living in the States now to go visit, at least once in their lifetime!

(Sorry folks, that pic was taken in the 90s and so I do look very 90s in there ;)

My kid brother who’s only 23, is studying in NTU now, and is going to New Jersey next month for his 3-mth internship. This will be his first trip to the U.S. too :)

my brother just graduated from NTU (Business Studies, 1st Class Hons). And he just started work today at the Prime Minister’s Office.

To tell the truth, being from NUS, I’ve always thought of NTU as being inferior, but things must have changed alot in the past decade since I graduated. NTU seems to be a very dynamic University.

Oh the arches, the architecture is very distinctive.

That’s not to say that you are not beautiful m’dear, because you look most lovely in that photo:)

When I was a child, every self-respecting French (and Belgian I guess) little boy had a sizeable collection of the Tintin albums. Enormous kudos was awarded to someone who had the complete collection. It was translated in a large number of different languages and rare editions are now collector items. Mines must be somewhere in my parents’ attic. Hergé, the author, was sometimes criticised for showing a very colonial Europe view of things but it doesn’t reduce their values as entertaining stories.

That animated cartoon sea captain with the pipe is Captain Haddock from the cartoon book series, “Tin Tin” I think.

...it is fantasy land. Kidding, almost. :)
It’s in Asia and a part of north east India. We have features unlike Indians in the mainland. A cuisine that has a lot of bamboo shoot and soya bean. And also a special ‘brew’ (rice beer) that keeps all men happy. lol. kidding. ;)
