I went on a trip with a buddy and came home alone. She stayed… we sold her car and moved her out of her place in Seattle. She wound up renting a bungalow on stilts… you could literally dive off her back porch into the ocean and swim 100 yards to the barrier reef that stretches down from Belize. Not a bad trade for her apt in sunny Seattle.
