used to be a fanatstic and funky old port town with great beach peninsula just outside. it was an old ‘mexican’ resort, relatively low key with a nice mix of run down glamour and new development—sorta like veracruz used to be. great scuba and fishing in the sea of cortez as well along the rocky shores that ring a few white beaches. file under did you know – the site of the club med was the site of the set for the movie, catch 22.
