this is a wonderful taverna in Gaios which is owned by the Fanariotis family. The youngest son Alekos has most of the responsibility. He makes an excellent job of making you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The cooking is done by a lady called maria and i have never had a bad meal there. For those who find it difficult to speak Greek there is a beautiful english girl who works there who also happens to be Aleko’s fiance!Her Greek dancing is second to none but beware you might find yourself dancing up there as well!!
NB On Greek dancing night book a table in advance as it gets crowded.
I would recommend this taverna above all others, it is at the far end of Gaios opposite the green man.
