Worth visiting!

A Modern Motel (in a good way)
The Inn at Northrup Station is a good choice for anyone who:
  1. wants to stay in the NW neighborhood
  2. wants a contemporary suite (with kitchenette)
  3. wants easy access to the Pearl district
  4. wants to skip the hassles of bellhops, doormen, and parking attendants

The aesthetic reach of the hotel reminds me of the Trident in SF – but the “inn” is more of a modern motel. A block long, flat building with 2 or 3 floors, long hallways, and colorful if utilitarian furnishings. The rates are reasonably affordable, the location is convenient for exploring NW and the Pearl and is a streetcar ride away from downtown. The staff were friendly, free breakfast in the lobby, and free streetcar tickets. Kid friendly, but not kid focused.

I’d go back.

...colorful if utilitarian…

A perfect description. I haven’t stayed here, but I’ve picked up out of town visitors who have been guests at this place. I’m not crazy about the rooms, but the location can’t be beat.
